Kenneth D. Rubin is the founder of Rubin, Ehrlich, Buckley & Przekop, PC.  He represents a diverse range of clients, including large and small financial institutions, servicers of commercial loans, national title insurance companies, institutions engaged in purchasing and exercising their rights under nonperforming loans, real estate developers, and companies engaged in the production of chemicals and gaseous products. His representation of financial institutions, servicers, insurance companies and developers has involved a broad range of property types and locations. He has advised clients in numerous issues related to loan originations, loan structuring, real estate mortgage investment conduits and commercial mortgage backed securities (“CMBS”). He has also advised numerous clients on loan modifications, loan assumptions, workouts and exercising a creditor’s rights under loan documents. In 1991, Mr. Rubin was appointed as Counsel to the Board of Chosen Freeholders of Mercer County, which serves as the County’s governing body. In 1996, Mr. Rubin was appointed as counsel to the Mercer County Planning Board. Governor Whitman appointed Mr. Rubin to a Commission to study the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance. 
 

Representative Matters:


Prior to the recent credit crisis, Mr. Rubin represented clients closing more than 4 billion dollars of commercial loan originations annually. Mr. Rubin has handled more than a 1,000 CMBS loan originations and is a frequent lecturer in the area of complex real estate transactions. He has handled every type of commercial real estate loan from a small single tenant building to a $100,000,000.00 loan involving fourteen properties in eight different states. He is familiar with all types of loan structures including A/B Notes, IDA Financing, Construction Loans and Mezzanine Financing.
